Dr. Sharon H. Porter (Dr. Sharon), Award-winning Educator, Author, Entrepreneur, Speaker, and Talk Show Host, resides in the Washington, DC area. She is the President of SHP Enterprise, the umbrella entity of Perfect Time SHP LLC, SHP Media and Broadcasting, G.R.I.N.D. Entrepreneur Network ® and Vision & Purpose LifeStyle Magazine and Media, LLC .
She is the host of the I Am Dr. Sharon ™ Show, Write the Book Now!™, Leadership Matters With Dr. Sharon™, and The GRIND Entrepreneur Network Spotlight Podcasts.
Dr. Sharon is the visionary author of Next In Line to Lead: The Voice of the Assistant Principal, Women Who Lead: Extraordinary Women With Extraordinary Achievements", and “Class of 2017, What’s Next?“Next In Line to Lead Book: The Voice of the Assistant Principal”
Dr. Sharon is the Executive Director and Founder of the Next In Line to Lead Aspiring Principal Leadership Academy (APLA). She is a former Leadership Development Coach for a large urban school district and elementary and middle school principal.
Dr. Sharon earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Elementary Education at Winston-Salem State University, a Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Curriculum & Instruction at National-Louis University, Administration & Supervision Post Graduate Certification at the Johns Hopkins University, an Educational Specialist (Ed.S.) degree at Walden University, and a Doctorate of Education (Ed. D.) in Educational Leadership & Policy Studies from Howard University, and is a part of the 2019 Harvard University School of Education Women in Leadership Cohort.
She holds a National Association of Elementary School Principal (NAESP) Principal Mentor Certification, is a Gallup Certified Strengths Coach, an Official Member of Forbes Coaches Council ,the International Association of Women, Sisters 4 Sisters Network, Inc., Professional Women of Winston-Salem, an approved Johns Hopkins School of Education Alumni Mentor, a Walden University Alumni Ambassador, and a Return to Serve Alumni at Winston-Salem State University.
